Summary

The Computer Architecture & Operating Systems Department (CAOS) of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona is involved in academical activities (MSc-PhD, engineering and undergraduate) and research. The staff of the group is composed by about 50 people.

The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona is placed in Bellaterra (Cerdanyola del Vallès, 15 Km. from Barcelona) and it is one of the three most important universities of Catalonia - Spain ( Access to UAB ).

Research activities

The main research activities are:

Parallel Applications, Algorithms and Techniques
Parallel processing
Multiprocessor system

Academic activities

The department is involved in the following degrees: Computer Science Engineering, System Technical Computer Science and Business Technical Computer Science. Moreover is responsible of PhD courses in Computer Architecture option of the PhD in Computer Science Option.
